Chief Information Officer: Preston G. M. Williams III

Preston G. M. Williams III is the Chief Information Officer for Langston University. The Information Technology Services (ITS) staff plan for, acquire, develop, and support core infrastructure and enterprise-wide products and services for students, faculty and staff to further the education, research and administrative activities of Langston University. As CIO for ITS, Preston guides the evolution, integration and effective use of computing and resources throughout the University. He has overall responsibility for the consultative and operating committees that shape priorities to meet the ever-increasing demand for information technology and advises the President on issues involving IT.
 

Previously employed as CEO and Managing Partner of GBC Global Services, Product Manager for Global Data Collection with Dun & Bradstreet (D&B) and Project Executive with IBM Global Services, he has over 20 years of extensive training and experience in global project management, business development, organizational design, and technological innovation.


Mr. Williams holds a M.S. from the University of Liberia, a B.S. from Cuttington University College, a CPA from the Liberian Institute of Certified Public Accountants and a CIS from Great Plains University. He is a member of the Carolina Information Technology Professionals Group and a Member of the GBC Board of Directors.
