Recently, the Teacher Education Program was selected by Diverse Magazine as one of the 100 top producers of minority teachers in the nation. This honor is a clear indication that we are leading the way in education. We know that education does not end here. It is a life-long process.
We are preparing students and teacher candidates to link with the global, local, and national communities through all areas of study. In its 2006 Annual Report, the Oklahoma Commission for Teacher Preparation indicates that seven completers of our teacher education program became National Board Certified Teachers.
Members of our staff are among the very best in the world. They have a personal commitment to making the School of Education and Behavioral Sciences a center for innovation and creativity. This commitment is brought forth through their various talents, abilities, and life experiences.
