If you applied and received a student loan for the 2003-2004 award year at Langston University, you will not need to complete a loan application.
Please wait until you have received your award letter in the mail before completing the online Federal Stafford loan application. Student must be awarded a Stafford loan in order to complete an online loan application. If you were not awarded a Stafford loan and want to apply, contact the Financial Aid Office to determine whether you are eligible.
* If you were awarded a Stafford Loan and want to reduce or cancel the loan(s), you will need to notify the financial aid office of the change(s).
If your financial aid award letter shows a Stafford loan, and
you wish to borrow the loan, please read the follow these steps and
then click on "Apply
OnLine" when you are ready to start the loan application
process:
- Enter your Social Security Number and Date of Birth so that your Stafford loan record can be found. If no existing record is found, please contact the Financial Aid Office for further instructions.
- Specify whether you are a first-time Stafford loan borrower. If so, you will be taken through a Loan Counseling Session that is required for first-time borrowers before student loan funds can be released, then routed back to the application process.
- Complete all data fields on the MPN, your address, phone number, and reference information. Note: some of these fields may be pre-populated.
- Once you have completed the application, you will be instructed to print the MPN. Please print two copies, one for your lender and one for your records. If you have trouble printing, please contact OGSLP's Customer Service Department by phone at (800) 442-8642.
- Sign one copy of the MPN and mail it to your lender's address located on the first page of the MPN.
