Bettye has been a librarian for 31 years and held 12 positions in 5 different states in the U.S. She has worked at Langston University for 13 years and directed library services for three years. She loves providing cutting edge library services, socializing with family and friends, traveling, designing and sewing ethnic garments, cooking beautiful food and a certain handsome man.

Evelyn has worked in Academic and Public libraries for about 30 years.
Most recently she has worked as a Librarian for about 3 years now. She
enjoys learning: with an AA in nursing & psychology, BS in health care management, MA in practical theology, and an MLIS in library &
information studies. She loves communication in sign language, travel

Jovanni Williams, Curator/Librarian, Melvin B. Tolson Black Heritage Center
Jovanni Williams is the newest edition to the Langston University Library faculty. She is the collection development liaison for African American Studies. Cultural heritage and community have always been important to her as an African American female, and it has played a definitive role in her personal mission to become an academic librarian specializing in African American research. Reading African American literature is where she discovered and fell in love with history as it relates to her own experiences. Her hobbies include playing volleyball, going to the beach, and eating fine foods.
