Scholarship Requirements

LINC scholarships are awarded to incoming freshmen and current Langston University undergraduates who meet the criteria established for the scholarship and who are seeking the B.S. degree in chemistry, biology, mathematics, computer science or technology. The number of scholarships awarded each year is determined by funds available. Scholars must be full time students (minimum 15 hrs per semester).

LINC Scholarship I. (Full Scholarship) - Must have an ACT score of 28 or above or be designated as either a National Merit finalist or semifinalist or a National Achievement finalist or semifinalist. Covers tuition and fees for 16 credit hours, books, and room and board (university housing or comparable). The LINC I scholarship does not include Pell Grant or other financial aid awards.

LINC Scholarship II. (Full Scholarship) - Must have an ACT score of 22 or above. Covers tuition and fees up to 16 credit hours, books and room and board (university housing or comparable). The LINC II scholarship may include Pell Grants or other financial aid awards.

Other Requirements:
1. The scholar maintains the minimum cumulated grade point average (3.00) during the mid-semester and the end of each semester terms.
2. The scholar attends all assigned classes, courses, colloquiums, seminars, workshops, internships, or training session programs and submits the form of documentation to the LINC office at the end of each semester.
3. The scholar meets the community service requirement and service learning requirements and submits the form for documentation to the LINC office.
4. The scholar must enroll in and successfully pass all LINC class colloquiums, test preparedness, and preparation for success colloquiums (4-8 hours).
