As Langston University moves from “Excellence to Greatness” during its second century, the chartering of a chapter of Sigma Theta Tau - The International Honor Society of Nursing is most appropriate.
We believe that the Langston University School of Nursing graduate is a scholarly professional who has the potential to become an outstanding nurse leader. Our graduates provide exemplary, culturally appropriate care in collaboration with interdisciplinary health care teams. They are advocates for diverse clients across the lifespan and have particular foci on health disparities. The unique opportunities for growth which are embedded in our interdisciplinary and intercampus collaborations prepare us to move beyond our comfort zones and confidently enter the “brave new world” that Sigma Theta Tau International offers. |
Thank you and congratulations to our own Lynn Clutter for her vision and focus in bringing this process to fruition. Thank you to those who will be charter members of this esteemed group. Thank you for being the solid foundation upon which we and others will grow together, extend our boundaries, promote scholarly endeavors and continue the quest to move from Excellence to Greatness.
