Talley

Dr. Louise Talley Ph.D, R.N. B.C.
Site Coordinator

Dr. Talley has received degrees from Wichita State University, University of Oklahoma, and Texas Woman’s University where she earned a Doctorate in Philosophy.  Dr. Talley was inducted as a member of Sigma Theta Tau in 1988.  She was faculty at Langston University School of Nursing from 1991-2001 and coordinator for 8 years.  She recently worked at St. John Medical Center as a Staff Development Specialist/School Liaison for 5 ½ years. She is currently the instructor for Dynamics of Professional Nursing 4422.  Dr. Talley’s favorite thing about teaching is “working with students”.  She has been married for 37 years and her husband is an environmental engineer at Williams.  She has two grown children, two grandsons, and a granddaughter on the way.  Her son is a chemical engineer and her daughter is a daycare provider and financial counselor.

Bee
Carolyn Bee B.S.N., R.N.
Ms. Bee has received degrees from St. Luke’s, Langston University and will receive her Master’s degree from the University of Oklahoma in the spring of 2008.   She has worked in critical care areas, surgery, and in psychiatric settings.  Ms. Bee is currently the instructor for Psychosocial Nursing 3435.  Her favorite thing about teaching is “feedback from students”.  Ms. Bee has a daughter that is an obstetric nurse, a daughter that works in the business field and a son that works in the business field.  She has four grand children, three girls and one boy.  She enjoys playing music on the keyboard and piano, singing and playing with her grandkids.
Benson
Carol Benson B.S.N., R.N., MPH
Mrs. Benson has degrees from the University of Texas and Loma Linda University.  She has worked in maternal-child nursing and as a Navy nurse.  She is the instructor for Community Health Nursing 3333 and assists with childrearing clinicals.  Her favorite thing about teaching is “creating passion in the students”.  She has been married for 14 years and has two sons.

Lynn Clutter M.S.N., R.N., BC, CNS, CNE
Mrs. Clutter has B.S.N. and M.S.N. degrees from Oral Roberts University.  She is a Clinical Nurse Specialist and a Lactation Consultant.  She has 25+ years of experience in pediatric and childbearing settings.  Her PhD in nursing is to be completed in spring, 2009 from Indiana University, the founding and current headquarters site of the honor society of nursing, Sigma Theta Tau, International in 1922.  Her favorite thing about teaching is “seeing the love of nursing develop in students”.  She is the instructor for Childbearing Family Nursing NR 3445.  She has been married for 28 years and has three sons and two daughters.

Dr. Pam DiVito-Thomas Ph.D, R.N., CNE
Dr. DiVito-Thomas has degrees from Tulsa Junior College, Northeastern State University and the University of Oklahoma.  She has been teaching for 14 years and her favorite thing about teaching is “the students”.  She is the instructor for Adult Health 4336.  She has been married for 30 years and has two sons.

Katherine Moore B.S.N., R.N.
Mrs. Moore has a bachelor’s degree from the University of Oklahoma and will graduate with her master’s degree in December of 2007.  She has worked in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit and was a graduate teaching assistant at the University of Oklahoma.  She is a 3rd generation nurse.  Mrs. Moore is the instructor for Health Assessment 3335 and her favorite thing about teaching is “the aha moment-the light coming on”.  She is married and has a son, two dogs and a cat.

Irene Pappas MS, R.N.
Mrs. Pappas has degrees from the University of Oklahoma and Tulsa University.  She worked at City of Faith Hospital (Oral Roberts University) in oncology for seven years and in cardiac nursing.  She has been teaching since 2004 and her favorite thing about teaching is “working with students”.  She is the instructor for Nursing Leadership/Management 4426.   Mrs. Pappas has been married for 33 years and has one daughter and three grandchildren. 
Jenny Fields

Jenny Fields, B.S.N, R.N.

Mrs. Fields received her Bachelor’s degree from Oklahoma Wesleyan University in 2006.  She is currently working on her masters in nursing education from OU.  She hopes to graduate in the summer of 2009.  Mrs. Fields has worked in a hospital since she graduated nursing school.  She has worked at St. John Medical Center all but 8 months of those 9 years, first on the telemetry floor, PACU, and then she ended up as a Clinical Instructor for one of the surgical floors.  For the past year, she has been an adjunct teacher for TCC.  She is married with two sons, ages 12 and 4.  She enjoys watching students learn and become confident in their nursing skills.

David Wilson M.S.N., R.N.
Mr. Wilson has degrees from Dallas Baptist University and Texas Women’s University.  He worked in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit for 20 years and is a co-author of our Pediatric textbook.  He is the instructor for Childrearing 4334. His favorite thing about teaching is the “social interaction with students and other nurses and when students are successful”.  Mr. Wilson is married, has six children and five grandchildren.

Freida McMillan, MHR
Office Manager/Advisement Coordinator

Ms. McMillan has a bachelor's degree from Langston University in
Business Management and a master's from the University of
Oklahoma in Human Relations. She facilitates entry into the nursing program by reviewing student transcripts and determining eligibility for admission into the nursing program.
