The following information provides helpful tips from previous LU-Tulsa nursing students

 

Tips for students entering nursing school...

  1. Keep all of your papers for the entire program.  Stay organized by semester and course.
  2. Purchase a jump drive to keep all of your papers and information saved to and ensure you have reliable Internet access where you plan to study.
  3. In addition to the textbooks you purchase for each course, you may consider purchasing any of the following books.  We have provided links to see what books previous students have preferred. 
  4. Keep your textbooks!  Some students suggest keeping all of your textbooks, while others suggest keeping the textbooks that address subjects such as fundamentals, health assessment, medical-surgical, and a critical care textbook. 
  5. Ask your instructors and upper classmen about tips to help make nursing school a success!
  6. Stay ahead in the coursework and take well deserved breaks with your family and friends!!
